Brian Chu, MD

Dr. Chu is a psychiatrist who believes that understanding a person's life story is essential to effective treatment. While psychiatric medications can be an important part of care, he approaches each patient seeking to understand the experiences, relationships, values, and life circumstances that shape their mental health to collaboratively develop individualized treatment plans.

Dr. Chu has a particular interest in family, couples, and relational dynamics as well as identity formation. He believes that healing often occurs within the context of meaningful relationships and an understanding of patterns that may contribute to distress, resilience, and personal growth. He is passionate about helping individuals navigate life transitions, strengthen relationships, and build lives that feel connected, purposeful, and fulfilling.
